Hannes de Klerk - Plantation Manger

Hannes qualified from Saasveld and worked for more than 19 years for the Department of Forestry, which later became Safcol.  After a brief time as a farmer, he was tasked to train previously disadvantaged forestry contractors. Before joining New Forests Malonda, he worked for Sappi as a fibre supply forester.  He has post-graduate diplomas in forestry and management.

Neville Slade - Project Co-ordinator

Neville Slade is a Kenyan by birth who has had a diverse working career over the past 22 years. Educated in Kenya and the UK, Neville’s education concentrates around agriculture. He has lived in Lichinga since January 2004 and before joining New Forests he was Operations Manager for Florestas de Niassa. Neville’s ability to speak Portuguese and Swahili with his experience in start-up operations in Africa are a valuable asset to the Mozambique operation.
